FBI-LEEDA Supervisory Leadership Institute (SLI) - Niagara County
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, Office of Public Safety in partnership with FBI-LEEDA is please to announce an offering of the Supervisory Leadership Institute (SLI).
Niagara County - January 26-30, 2026
SLI is a four-and-a-half-day cutting-edge seminar specifically designed to enhance leadership competencies for supervisors and middle managers in law enforcement. While the program primarily targets first-line supervisors, it is suitable for all police leaders, including both sworn officers and civilian personnel. The institute provides comprehensive training that addresses the unique challenges and responsibilities faced by those in supervisory roles.
The curriculum covers a diverse range of essential topics that equip participants with practical leadership skills. Key areas of focus include supervisory leadership principles, building credibility and authenticity as a leader, understanding law enforcement liability issues, and implementing effective police discipline practices. Additionally, the program incorporates DISC behavior assessment tools to help leaders understand different personality types and leadership styles, as well as strategies for leading across multiple generations in today's diverse workforce.
