December 16, 2021 Incident: Man Arrested for Speed Racing Location: West Hills Road, Huntington Station Date/Time: Thursday, December 16, 2021 at approximately 3 p.m. Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for speed racing in Farmingdale in September. A 2002 Ford Mustang and a white BMW were observed racing at dangerous speeds on Allen Avenue at a high rate of speed on September 25 at approximately 12:30 a.m. while pedestrians lined the street to watch. After an investigation by officers from the First Precinct Crime Section, Edwin Villalta was arrested today on West Hills Road in Huntington Station for driving the Ford Mustang. Villalta, 19, of 28 E. 15th St., Huntington Station, was charged with Illegal Speed Contest and Reckless Driving. Officers are asking anyone with information on who was driving the BMW to call the First Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8126 or anonymously Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. |
